The victim, identified as Kriti Kumari, was brutally murdered late Tuesday.
The man, who has been accused of killing a 24-year-old Bihar woman in her PG accommodation in Bengaluru’s Koramangala area, has been arrested in Madhya Pradesh on Saturday.
The accused is being brought to the city for further investigation.

Earlier on Friday, the police also got the CCTV footage of the heinous crime. As per the CCTV clip, the accused can be seen entering the PG, he then knocked on the door and slit her throat even as the victim screamed for help. The footage also shows the accused escaping from the crime spot.
Police sources have revealed that three special teams were formed to track down the accused. They were meticulously examining Kumari’s mobile phone records, including call details, and scrutinizing CCTV footage from the PG premises.
Preliminary inquiries suggested a possible romantic angle to the crime. There were suspicions that Kumari was killed by a young man she was romantically involved with. Kumari reportedly escorted the young man into the PG around 11:30 PM on Tuesday night. It appears that after returning from dinner, Kumari and the young man entered a room together. Later, a confrontation ensued between them in the room, leading to the suspected murder.
Reports suggested that the young woman had only recently joined the PG, with the accused assisting her with luggage upon arrival two days ago. Allegedly, he claimed to be her brother when challenged by security, allowing him to enter under the pretext of arranging a quick departure.
