India launched Operation Sindoor in response to the terror attack in Pahalgam. Nine terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir were targeted in the operation.

The Indian Army will bear the education expense of a ten-year-old boy who supplied meals to the troops during Operation Sindoor in a Punjab village.
As the soldiers fought with the Pakistan Army, exchanging fire, Shvan Singh brought them water, ice, tea, milk, and lassi.
Acknowledging the spirit and courage of the ten-year-old, the Indian Army’s Golden Arrow Division has said it will sponsor Shvan’s education.
On Saturday, Lt Gen Manoj Kumar KatiyarGeneral Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Western Command, also felicitated the boy during an event at Ferozepur Cantonment.
The army stated that the story of SHAVN serves as a reminder of the “quiet heroes” across the country who deserve recognition and support.

Earlier in May, SHAVNwho hails from the Mamdot area of the Ferozepur district, said that he wants to join the Indian Army on growing up.
“I want to become a ‘Fauji‘ when I grow up. I want to serve the country,” he had said.
His father had also spoken proudly about his son.
“We are proud of him. Even soldiers loved him.” He said the class 4 student supplied the ration on his own without anyone asking him to do it.
About Operation Sindoor
India targeted nine terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir during Operation Sindoor. It was carried out on May 7 in response to the Pahalgam terror attack that left 26 dead on April 22.
Meanwhile, Pakistan launched an offensive against Indian military bases and resorted to shelling the border areas for the next three days following the operation.
