Apple partnered with Google Gemini for AI: Will improve Siri in iPhone, Musk called the deal wrong

There has been an agreement between Apple and Google regarding Artificial Intelligence. Under which Apple’s AI foundation models will now be built on Google’s Gemini AI model and cloud infrastructure. The Google Gemini model will further improve Apple’s new Siri and Apple Intelligence features.

Google has announced this partnership by posting on X. Google said that this partnership has been done to make Apple Intelligence features better and Siri more personalized in iPhone, iPad and MacBook. The statement said that the new version of Siri will be launched this year.

Musk’s company xAI makes an AI chatbot named ‘Grok’, which directly competes with Google’s Gemini. Musk is already fighting a legal battle against Apple and OpenAI. He had alleged that these companies were blocking rival AI services on the App Store. This case is currently going on in the court.

Google has become the second most valuable company in the world. Under this partnership, Google’s Gemini models will run on Apple’s ‘private cloud computing’ infrastructure and a new Siri can be launched by the end of this year.
