In a horrific incident, a businessman was shot dead in Patna’s Ramakrishna Nagar police station area on Friday, days after BJP leader and businessman Gopal Khemka was killed outside his residence in the city.
As per the preliminary information, owner of a shop named Trishna Mart was shot dead in city’s Zakariapur area.
Patna’s East SP confirmed the incident to CNN-News18 and said that the police is investigating the matter.
The incident came just a week after Khemka, a well-known industrialist, was shot dead outside his residence in the Gandhi Maidan area, moments after stepping out of his car.
The incident took place at around 11 pm when he was turning to his home, which is adjacent to the Panache Hotel in the Gandhi Maidan police station area. He lived in the Twin Tower society.
Police believed that Khemka’s killing was meticulously planned and executed with the help of multiple conspirators, including spotters who tracked the businessman’s movements on the night of July 4.
Meanwhile, a key accused in the murder case was shot dead in an encounter with the police earlier this week.
