After completing his early education in Allahabad, he was admitted to Sherwood College in Nainital. There, he developed an interest in drama, participating enthusiastically in the school’s annual play. This passion for acting was a gift from his mother, Teji Bachchan, who also participated in plays and aspired to join Hindi cinema, though her dream remained unfulfilled. In Kolkata, Amitabh Bachchan worked as a business executive at Bird & Company, a shipping firm.
