Telecom company Bharti Airtel Limited has made a profit of ₹ 6,791.7 (Consolidated Net Profit) in the second quarter of the financial year 2025-26. The company had reported a profit of ₹3,593.2 crore in the same quarter last year. It has increased by 89% on annual basis.
The company generated revenue from operations of ₹52,145 crore in the July-September quarter, up 25.73% from ₹41,473 crore last year. The amount received from selling goods and services is called revenue.

The company added 9.5 lakh new customers in Q2
Airtel said in the filing that its position in the postpaid segment has become stronger. 9.5 lakh new customers were added in this quarter, taking the total postpaid users to 2.75 crore. Also, smartphone data users increased by 22.2 million in the last 12 months, which shows a growth of 8.4% year-on-year.
At the end of the quarter, there were 45 crore customers in India and 174 million in Africa, taking the total number of users in 15 countries to about 624 million. The company reported consolidated EBITDA at Rs 29,919 crore, with EBITDA margin at 57.4%.
ARPU increased by 10% in July-September
During the July-September quarter, Airtel’s average revenue per user i.e. ARPU increased by 10% to Rs 256. Which was Rs 233 in the same quarter last year. ARPU means average earning from each user.
This number is obtained by dividing the total revenue by active users. For example, if the revenue is Rs 10 lakh and the company has 1000 users, then ARPU will be Rs 1000. Through this the company finds out how much benefit the customer is providing. It also plans what to do for better service or upselling.
Airtel is the third largest company in the country
Airtel shares closed 1.10% higher at Rs 2,077 on Monday, November 3, ahead of its second quarter (July-September 2025) results. It has risen 9.51% in the last one month, 11.31% in 6 months and 30.53% in one year. In terms of market value, Airtel is the third largest company in the country with a market cap of Rs 12.43 lakh crore.

Airtel shares have given a return of 10% in the last one month. On October 3, its value was Rs 1896, which increased to Rs 2077 on November 3.
Bharti Airtel was started in 1995
The Government of India first started distributing licenses for mobile services in 1992. Company founder Sunil Mittal understood this opportunity and in collaboration with French company Vivendi acquired licenses for Delhi and surrounding areas. In 1995, Mittal formed Bharti Cellular Limited to offer cellular services and started operating under the Airtel brand.
