Today is the second day of India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2025. In this, many tech innovations were introduced, from AI robots that detect faults in running high speed trains to monitoring devices that track the real-time health of trains.
More than 1.5 lakh people from 120 countries will attend this biggest digital-tech event of Asia, which will run till October 11 at Yashobhoomi Convention Center in Delhi. In this, more than 400 companies along with 500 startups have presented their innovations.
Let us know about the top innovations of IMC-2025…
1. Camera vision: Will be able to detect irregularities in a moving high speed train.

Vivek Kumar, AI researcher at Hitachi, said that trains will be safer with camera vision technology. High quality cameras and AI will catch even the smallest defects in the high speed train.
With this you can screen the train live. This technology can be used with the help of robo dog.
It works so fast that it can detect breakages in any part of the train and also send updates in real time.
This will make maintenance easier and increase efficiency. Any such fault can be rectified by semi-skilled engineers. AR Glasses Live will explain how to fix the malfunction.
2. Annapurti: You will be able to get ration 24X7 from Grain ATM

Tech company Ericsson presented a machine named Annapurti at IMC. It is an automated multi-commodity grain dispensing machine, called ‘Grain ATM’. This machine delivers subsidized grains (like wheat, rice and millet) to ration card holders quickly, accurately and without wastage. It is available 24X7. It makes the Public Distribution System (PDS) transparent and convenient.
How does Grain ATM work?
- Access: Any ration card holder can scan his/her valid ration card (of any state or UT).
- Biometric Authentication: Identity is verified through fingerprint or iris scan. This leads to fraud.
- Election: You can select the type of grain (wheat, rice, millet) and quantity (maximum 50 kg) available on the screen.
- Dispensing: The machine fills the grain bags in 5 minutes. Its error rate is only 0.01%, i.e. absolutely accurate.
- Timing: It operates round-the-clock, reducing waiting times and long lines by up to 70%.
3. Monitoring device: Will get alert of servicing, life will increase

For live monitoring of vehicles, Sensorize Connect devices are installed in vehicles and fleets. With this, live tracking of the vehicle’s health and behavior from the engine to the driver can be done.
President Karan Nagpal said, ‘We are also connecting it with geo fencing, so that the vehicle does not go out of the range. Monitoring shows when the vehicle needs servicing.
This will save costs and also increase the life of vehicles. Apart from this, NBFCs are dealing with customers. If EMI is not paid, the vehicle can be stopped with the device.
4. AR Glasses: Virtual screen will remain stable even when there is movement, will also work as GPS

Jose Somolinos of Ericsson said that high-tech AR glasses will change the way we move and work. They look like normal glasses, but have a ‘virtual screen’ visible in them.
The virtual screen remains stable even when there is movement. It has micro OLED panels, which give a resolution of 1080 pixels. With these you can even click videos and photos.
Somolinoz says, think of it like this, trains will soon be mobile theaters and workstations. This screen will also work as a GPS. That means, just by speaking, she will show the live path.
5. Vi Protect: AI will detect fraudulent calls

Vodafone-Idea (Vi) launched an AI based service called ‘Vi Protect’, which protects customers from spam calls, fraud and cyber threats with the help of AI. Its voice spam detection system catches suspicious calls without any third-party apps and shows alerts on the screen.
Second, AI based cyber defense system stops cyber attacks within 1 hour and keeps the network secure. Till now, more than 60 crore spam calls and messages have been intercepted and soon the facility to block dangerous links will also come.
More than 1.5 lakh speakers from more than 150 countries will participate.
Indian Mobile Congress will run from 8 to 11 October. In this, companies, startups and experts from India and abroad will present new technologies. More than 1.5 lakh speakers, more than 7000 global delegates and more than 400 companies from more than 150 countries including India, Canada, Japan, Britain, Russia will participate in it.
The Prime Minister’s Office said in a press release that the event has been jointly organized by the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) and Cellular Operators Association of India (COAI). This year the theme of the program is “Innovate to Transform”.
Topics like 6G, AI and cyber security will be discussed in the event.
This time, India Mobile Congress will focus on Optical Communication, Semiconductors in Telecom, Quantum Communication, 6G and Fraud Risk Indicators, reflecting India’s strategic priorities in next generation connectivity, digital sovereignty, cyber fraud prevention and global technology leadership.
More than 1,600 new technological innovations will be introduced at IMC 2025, spanning areas such as 5G/6G, Artificial Intelligence, Smart Mobility, Quantum Computing, Cyber Security and Green Technology. During this period, more than 100 technical sessions and more than 800 speakers will present their views.
