US President Donald Trump faced backlash, including from some supporters, over an AI-generated image portraying him as a Jesus-like figure.

US President Donald Trump said he was not portraying himself as Jesus Christ but as a doctor, after sharing an AI-generated image that depicted him as a Jesus-like figure.

According to US broadcaster CNNTrump faced backlash over the post, including from some of his supporters, particularly devout Christians.

Trump has traditionally received strong backing from Christian and conservative groups during both his presidencies and election campaigns.

“I did post it, and I thought it was me as a doctor, and had to do with Red Cross, as a Red Cross worker there, which we support… It’s supposed to be me as a doctor, making people better,” Trump told reporters.
