Trump told reporters at the Oval Office that he wants a better relationship with China, but business tension still remains. He said that the business dispute is stronger than the situation in Washington.

Trump said, ‘China has some cards. We also have some cards, but I do not want to play these leaves. If I did this, China will be ruined. I will not play these leaves. ‘ Trump made this comment during a meeting with South Korean President Lee J Muung.

Trump further said that he has recently talked to Chinese President Xi Jinping and is considering a visit to Beijing. He said, “At any time, perhaps this year or immediately thereafter, I can go to China.” He also told that Xi Jinping has invited him.

America postponed extra tariff on China 90 days

Earlier, Trump postponed August 12 for 90 days. Trump posted on social media and told that he had signed the executive order to extend the US-China tariff deadline by 9 November.

Earlier, there was a trade deal between the US and China in Geneva on 11 May. A long tariff war ran between the US and China.

Trump threatened to impose tariffs up to 245% on China. In response, China said to impose 125% tariffs. However, this did not apply after the Geneva Trade Deal.

China stopped the supply of rare meaning metals to America

In April, China tightened the control over several rare economy materials and magnets. As a retaliation of the US tariffs, China had banned supply of 7 Earth materials for the US.

China also stopped the magnets of magnets required to assemble from car, drone to robots and missiles. These materials are very important for automobiles, semiconductors and aerospace business.

This decision affected motorcycles, aircraft, semiconductor and weapon making companies worldwide.

Use of rare economy material from electronics to IT

China is currently charged 30% tariff

The US and China had the most fierce fight over tariffs. In May, the US imposed a tariff of up to 145% on China. After this, China imposed 125% counter -tariff on the US. It later decreased. At present, the US has put 30% tariff on the US on China at 30%.

America did not just want business balance from China. He wanted China to give less help to its government companies. The US believes that China gives a lot of subsidy to its government companies, due to which companies from other countries do not compete with them.

The US also demands that China give foreign companies more opportunities in technology and change the law of intellectual property (such as patents etc.). China was not ready for this.

Chinese GDP falls to 1% due to increase in tariff

America’s high tariff on China will directly affect its export and industry. China exports goods worth more than $ 500 billion (Rs 43 lakh crore) to the US. Brands like Apple produce massive production in China. They will have to face inflation.

According to a report by the Financial Times, China’s economic impact has been limited despite America’s broad tariff measures. If the tariff rate increases, it can reduce China’s GDP to 1%.

Trump’s senior advisor Peter Navarro had earlier said that China would be imposed more tariffs, it is less likely. He warned that doing so could also harm America.
