वर्ल्ड अपडेट्स: बांग्लादेश में अगले साल फरवरी के पहले हफ्ते में चुनाव होंगे; दो महीने पहले तारीख का ऐलान होगा

General elections in Bangladesh will be held in the first week of February next year. The date will be announced in exactly 2 months from the election. This information was given by Bangladesh Chief Election Commissioner Naseer Uddin on Saturday.

Naseer said that it is still a big challenge to conduct these elections in a free, fair and transparent manner.

He said that the trust of the people, the Election Commission and the administrative structure of the people have been broken, but the Commission is constantly trying to restore it.

The CEC statement came four days after the announcement of Mohammad Yunus, the chief advisor of the interim government.

Yunus announced on 5 August, on the first anniversary of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s government to be overthrown, in February. These elections will be the 13th parliamentary election process of the country.
