AILET 2026 Registration: National Law University (NLU), Delhi has commenced the online application process for the All India Law Entrance Exam (AILET). Interested candidates can apply for admission to BA LLB (Hons), LLM, and PhD programmes by visiting the official AILET website at nationallawuniversitydelhi.in. The application process begins on August 7.

The last date to apply is November 10, 2025. The entrance exam will be held on December 14, 2025 from 2 PM to 4 PM in an offline (pen-and-paper) mode. This exam is conducted for admission to undergraduate (BA LLB), postgraduate (LLM), and research (PhD) level law courses at NLU Delhi.

AILET 2026: Eligibility Criteria

For the 5-Year B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) and LLM Programmes, candidates must have a minimum cumulative score of 45% of the total marks (or 40% for SC/ST/Persons with Disabilities) in the Higher Secondary School Examination (10+2) or an equivalent examination. For admission as Foreign Nationals, students must score 65% in the Higher Secondary School Examination under the 10+2 system or an examination of comparable standard.

For the LL.M (One Year) Programme, candidates must have completed their LL.B. or an equivalent degree from a recognised university with at least a 50% overall grade point average (45% for SC/ST/Persons with Disabilities).

For the Ph.D. Programme, candidates must have a Master’s degree in Law or a professional degree recognised as equivalent to a Master’s degree in Law by the relevant statutory regulating authority, with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks or a grade of ‘B’ on the UGC 7-point scale.

AILET 2026: How To Apply?

Step 1 – Visit the official AILET website at nationallawuniversitydelhi.in.

Step 2 – Click on the ‘AILET 2026 registration’ link.

Step 3 – Register using a valid email ID and mobile number.

Step 4 – Fill in your personal, academic, and contact details.

Step 5 – Upload scanned copies of required documents, such as a passport-sized photo and signature.

Step 6 – Pay the appropriate application fee.

Step 7 – Submit the application form and download the confirmation page.

AILET 2026: Application Fee

The application fee for General and OBC candidates is Rs 3,500 while the application fee for SC/ST/PwD candidates is Rs 1,500. Full exemption in SC/ST fee for BPL category.
