It is written in the letter, ‘These documents cannot be translated, because Bangladeshi language is written in it.’ This letter was sent in connection with the arrest of eight suspected Bangladeshi citizens living in India without valid documents.

Apart from political parties, Bengali musician and director have also got angry at Delhi Police in this case. Indian film director and screenwriter Srijit Mukherjee wrote on X, ‘This is not Bangladeshi language, fools, it is a Bengali language. The same language in which your national anthem was originally written and it is one of the 22 official languages of India.
