A female teacher of a private school in Navi Mumbai was arrested under the POCSO Act for allegedly indulging in obscene activities with her students, the police said on Wednesday.
She allegedly performed obscene acts with school boys on video calls, the officials said, adding that it also included sending her inappropriate videos to the victim children.
The incident came to light when the family of a student lodged a complaint against the teacher, prompting the cops to check the phones of the accused and the victim. Obscene videos were allegedly found on the phones.
The teacher was then arrested under the POCSO Act.
According to the police, there are two more victim children from the school; however, no complaint has been received from them so far.
The cops are interrogating other children from the school on the matter to ascertain other victims.
