Mohan Bhagwat said- The world will get new direction only through Indianness. (File)

Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat supported the change in courses. He said that India needs to understand and present it correctly.

Bhagwat said- The history taught today is written from the Western perspective. India has no existence in his thoughts. India is seen on the world map, but not in their thinking. China and Japan will be found in their books, not India.

RSS Chief said, ‘After the First World War, peace was talked about, books were written and became the League of Nations, but the second world war took place. Then became the United Nations, but even today people are worried that the third world war will not happen.

The Sangh chief arrived at the program organized by Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) and All India Anubhavrat Nyas on Tuesday. He said- The world now needs a new direction and this direction will be found only through Indianness.

The world is looking forward to India with hope

Bhagwat said- Due to materialism, unrest, dissatisfaction and struggle have increased all over the world. In the last 2 thousand years, efforts to make humans happy and satisfied on the basis of Western ideas have failed. Now the world is looking at India with hope.

Bhagwat said- The progress in science and economic sector increased physical facilities in people’s lives, but sorrows did not diminish. The objects of luxury came, but mental pain did not go away. Poverty and exploitation increased and the gap between the poor-rich has become wide.

Indianness is not just citizenship

The RSS chief said that India does not mean living in a geographical border or to get citizenship. Indianness is an approach, which has the thinking of the welfare of the whole life. This approach based on religion considers four efforts – religion, meaning, work and salvation as part of life. Among them, salvation is the ultimate goal.

‘India was once the most prosperous nation’

Bhagwat said that India was once the most prosperous nation in the world due to this life -giving of religion. Even today, the whole world hopes that India will show it the way. So we have to prepare ourselves and our nation. Should start with yourself and your family.

He said that people should introspect whether they are following the Indian view in their daily lives. He called upon to be prepared for improvement and change.
