Indian wrestler Antim Panghal bagged the women’s 53kg title at the Hungary Ranking Series with a hard-fought triumph over Russia’s Natalia Malysheva.
The 20-year-old from Haryana posted a resounding 7-4 win over her Russian opponent Malysheva to clinch the yellow metal.

The victory proved to be the Indian grappler’s second gold at a Ranking Series on the bounce as the wrestler enjoys a purple patch at the end of a hard-fought campaign.
Panghal posted a rousing 10-0 win over three-time European medallist, Zeynep Yetgil, in the quarterfinal before the Indian posted another thumping win in the semis over American Felicity Taylor 10-0 enroute to the final.
Neelam fought to a win over Kseniya Stankevich in a fixture that ended 6-3 in favour of the Indian to clinch bronze at the Women’s 50 kg event. She made her way to the bronze-medal bout thanks to her 18-7 repechage win over Nadezhda Sokolova.
