Question 1: How to check PF balance with missed call?
answer:
- Give a missed call on 9966044425 from your registered mobile number.
- The call will be cut automatically, no charge will be charged.
- In a few seconds, SMS will come from EPFO on your mobile, which will have information about your PF balance and last deposit.
- This facility is only for those whose mobile number is linked to UAN (Universal Account Number) and KYC is complete (ie bank, Aadhaar or PAN should be connected).
Question 2: What is the way to check the balance with SMS?
answer:
- Send SMS to number 7738299899 from your registered mobile.
- Format: EPFOHO UAN LAN (Instead of UAN, replace your 12 -digit universal account number, LAN instead of LAN – like HIN HIN for Hindi, write ENG for English)
- Example: EPFOHO 123456789012 Hin
- Soon you will have SMS with PF balance and KYC details.
Question 3: What is required for this?
answer: Three things:
- Your UAN should be active.
- Your mobile number, Aadhaar, PAN, and bank details should be linked to your UAN.
- If the UAN or mobile number is not link, get it updated by your employer or EPFO office.

answer: This service does not take money for missed calls nor SMS. Just your mobile number should be registered.

Answer: Check
- Is your mobile number link to your PF account?
- Are your UAN active?
- If not, get your employer updated UAN and Details.
