The State Bank of India (SBI) has released the notification for the recruitment of Probationary Officer (PO) posts. Those interested and eligible can check the notice and apply for the exam by visiting the official website at sbi.co.in. The last date to register is July 7.
A total of 541 vacancies will be filled through the recruitment drive. This includes 500 regular vacancies and 41 backlog vacancies. Out of the 500 posts, 203 are for General (UR) category candidates. Apart from these, 135 posts are reserved for Other Backward Classes (OBC), 50 posts for Economically Weaker Sections (EWS), 37 posts for Scheduled Castes (SC) and 75 posts for Scheduled Tribes (ST) category candidates.

SBI PO Recruitment 2025: Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification: Candidates applying for SBI PO Recruitment 2025 should have a graduation degree in any subject from a recognised university. Apart from this, students of graduation final year, whose result will be declared by December 31, 2025, can also apply for this government job. They will have to submit proof of their degree at the time of selection.
Age Limit: The age of the applicant should not be less than 21 years and not more than 30 years as on April 1, 2025. This means that the candidate applying should not have been born before April 2, 1995 and after April 1, 2004. SC/ST category candidates will get relaxation in the maximum age limit of five years and OBC category candidates will get relaxation of three years, which will be applicable as per government rules.

SBI PO Recruitment 2025: Selection Process
The selection process includes two written examinations followed by an interview round. The first phase of the examination or the prelims, consists of 100 marks. Those who clear the prelims will next be called for the mains exam which involves objective questions. Candidates successful in the written examination will be called for an interview and document verification.
