Bengali filmmaker Shyam Sundar Dey has made serious allegations against TV’s famous couple Pooja Banerjee and Kunal Verma. He says that both of them kidnapped him in Goa and also recovered millions from him. The filmmaker’s wife has also filed a complaint with the Goa police against both the actors.

According to the Times of India, Shyam Sundar Dey accused both husband and wife Pooja Banerjee and Kunal Verma, saying, ‘I went to spend a holiday in Goa for about five days with my family. But due to the education of the children, the family returned home and I stayed there due to some business work. Meanwhile, when I was driving, a black jaguar stood on the road and stood on the road. Two men came down, came to me and asked me to get out.

Shyam Sundar Dey said, ‘I think this whole incident must have been recorded in CCTV. At first I refused to come out of the car, but when I saw Pooja Banerjee there, my caution has reduced. I felt that maybe there was some misunderstanding.

He made me sit in his car and took me to Ambar Villa. Initially I was placed on the first floor, but the place was very close to the road and they feared someone would see, so I was shifted to the upper floor.

Shyam Sundar Dey said, ‘I stayed in the villa from June 1 to June 4. I was not allowed to leave from there. Every day I kept trying to convince Pooja and Kunal. I reminded them that we are like family and kept pleading with them to stop all this here. But instead I received only threats.

He alleged that he was beaten not only by Kunal Verma, but also by some other unknown people and all this happened before Pooja Banerjee’s eyes. Shyam told that two of his mobile phones were taken away from him. However, a phone was allowed to stay with them so that they could arrange for money from someone. During this time, both of them also started pressuring me to sign the property papers. Then I realized that now the matter has gone through the extent.

After this, I made a video quietly from Villa’s bathroom and informed my wife about the whole incident. My wife immediately informed the police. The Goa Police immediately took action and took me out safely on 4 June.

Dey’s wife Malabika said, Shyam was kidnapped and was kept in captive in a villa for four days. During this time he was abused, pressurized a video of him and threatened to implicate him in a false charge in the Narcotics case for not giving ₹ 64 lakh. Under pressure, Shyam transferred ₹ 23 lakh, including payment to the assistant of Pooja in Kolkata and RTGS transactions made in Pooja and Kunal accounts.
