Pakistani Army Chief, Field Marshal General Asim Munir, widely seen as the de facto power holder in Islamabad, met Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in Istanbul on Sunday(May 25). He was introduced by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who was scheduled to hold talks with Erdogan as part of his official engagements.The meeting comes just days after Turkey extended its support to Pakistan during heightened military tensions with India, following India’s Operation Sindoor in response to the Pahalgam terror attack.
