NITI Aayog’s 10th Governing Council will meet in Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will preside over the 10th Governing Council meeting of NITI Aayog at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi on Saturday. It will include the Chief Minister of all states and union territories and the Lieutenant Governor, Union Minister and Deputy Chairman of NITI Aayog, members and CEO.

According to NITI Aayog statement, the theme of the meeting this year is ‘developed state for developed India’. The meeting will emphasize the role of states to make India develop up to 2047. There will also be discussion on better coordination between the central and state governments.

The central government will tell the states and union territories about the challenges related to the development before the country. Apart from this, how the states can become the foundation for making India a developed nation will also be told. Entrepreneurship, skills and measures to increase permanent employment opportunities across the country will also be discussed in the meeting.

The meeting will start at 10 am. In this, all the Chief Ministers will give their suggestions on the schemes and objectives of developed India. State governments will also keep their demands in the meeting. After this, PM Modi will address the Chief Ministers.

Chief Ministers of 10 states did not come, out of which 8 India and 2 NDA NITI Aayog meeting lasted from 11 am to 4 pm. CEO BVR Subrahmanyam of NITI Aayog had said that the meeting was attended by the Chief Ministers of 26 states and LG of union territories, while the CMs of 10 states did not attend.

These included MK Stalin (Tamil Nadu), Siddaramaiah (Karnataka), Revant Reddy (Telangana), Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu (Himachal Pradesh), P. Vijayan (Kerala), Hemant Soren (Jharkhand), Bhagwant Mann (Punjab) and Arvind Kejriwal (Delhi’s then CM).

At the same time, Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar did not attend the meeting due to personal reasons from NDA. Two deputy CMs of the state Samrat Chaudhary and Vijay Sinha attended. Apart from this, the Chief Minister of Puducherry, another NDA -ruled state, did not come.

PM said- States’s role in creating developed India by 2047 Prime Minister Modi said in the NITI Aayog’s 9th Governing Council meeting, “It is an ambition of every Indian to make India a developed nation by 2047 and the state can play an active role to achieve this goal, as they are directly connected to people.”

The PM also said that this decade is of technical and geo-politics changes as well as opportunities. The country should take advantage of them. Your policies should be molded according to the international investment. It is helpful in developing India.
