Tech company Google announced the new AI-first video communication platform Google Beam in its annual developer conference ‘Google I/O 2025’. This platform will convert the 2-D video to people’s realistic 3-D rendering.

Google’s Annual Developer Conference has started from May 20. The event is taking place for 4 days at the noise amphitheater located in Mountain Views, California. The event started at 10.30 pm Indian time. This time the entire focus is on Artificial Intelligence (AI).

First day top 3 highlight of the event:

1. AI search engine: Google’s CEO Sundar Pichai announced the new ‘AI mode’ conversional chatbot interface for Google search engine. This feature is available to all American users. This product has come at a time when AI start-ups such as Chatgpt and Perplexity are pressurizing Google’s traditional search market.

2. 3-d video conferencing: Pichai also announced the Google Beam, a “new AI-first video communication platform”. This will convert 2-D videos from six cameras to realistic 3-D rendering of people. Google and HP will release Google Beam Products for early customers later this year.

3. AI next version of video generation: Google announced the next version of its AI video generation model. The Veo 3 model can also generate audio, sound effects and dialogues. Veo 3 has become available from May 20 itself.
