Jamia Millia Islamia has commenced the application process for its free UPSC coaching programme. Interested and eligible candidates may apply for the coaching until May 29. The last date to submit hard copies is May 30.
Students will have to pass the entrance test to be eligible for the coaching programme. It will be held on June 15 from 10 am to 1 pm in two parts — general studies and essay papers. The results will be announced on July 11. Successful candidates must complete their admission by August 10, while those on the waiting list can register on August 17 and be admitted on August 18. Classes will commence on September 9.
The institute’s Residential Coaching Academy (RCA) offers free training to students from SC and ST communities, as well as women and other groups to prepare them for the Union Public Service Commission Civil Service Examination (UPSC CSE).

“The Written Test would comprise of General Studies (objective type) and Essay Writing on UPSC model. Both the papers would be in English/Hindi/Urdu. The test is to· assess the candidate’s knowledge of general awareness, logical and critical thinking, reasoning, comprehension and the ability to express themselves in an organised and structured manner. The total duration of the examination would be three hours,” Jamia stated in its official notice.
The university’s centre for coaching and career planning offers comprehensive support, including classroom coaching, study materials, and hostel facilities. The programme is structured to guide candidates through all three stages of the UPSC civil services exam: Prelims, Mains, and the personality test.
