‘एक-दूसरे को समझ नहीं पाते पुरुष और स्त्री’: गुल पनाग बोलीं- यही जिंदगी का उसूल, अगर सब अच्छा होता तो आज ‘पाताल लोक’ नहीं होता

The second season of Amazon Prime Video’s much-awaited web series ‘Paatal Lok’ is going to stream from January 17, 2025. Recently, the series’ starcast Ishwak Singh, Gul Panag and director Avinash Arun Dhware spoke to Dainik Bhaskar. Avinash told that this time along with male characters, female characters will also be seen emerging in the series. At the same time, Gul Panag told that it is such a principle of life that men and women do not understand each other hundred percent. Anyway, if we were all the same then this would not be Hades. What else did the starcast and director of the series say during the conversation? Read some special excerpts from the conversation.

‘Paatal Lok 2’ starcast Gul Panag, Ishwak Singh and director Avinash Arun Dhaware talked to Dainik Bhaskar.

Avinash, how are you feeling with the way the trailer is getting such a good response from the audience?

It took 4-5 years to bring ‘Paatal Lok 2’. We are coming with a very good story. I hope that the way the audience loved Paatal Lok Season One, they will love ‘Paatal Lok 2’ in the same way.

Ishvak, what changes happened in your life after the first part of this series?

Never thought that I would get a chance to work in such a show. From Sub Inspector to the way a man becomes an IPS officer. In the same way my acting profession has changed. You can say that I have become an ACP in the acting profession.

Gul, tell me, what new flavor are you going to bring this time in Renu Choudhary’s relationship with Hathiram Choudhary?

Every relationship changes from time to time. Some changes have also come in the relationship between Hathiram and Renu Chaudhary. Earlier there used to be tension among themselves in the struggle to raise children. Now the son has grown up. Renu now wants to make her own identity. I hope the audience liked my character the way it did in the first season. Will like it in the same way this time also.

What do you want to say about the relationship you had with Hathiram Chaudhary before this?

Every man says that my wife does not understand me. To some extent, women also think that their husbands are not able to understand them. This is the principle of life. Hundred percent we cannot understand each other.

How can this improvement come about so that husband and wife can understand each other?

I cannot give any advice in this matter. If you understand my point in brief, there is definitely inequality between men and women. This is what makes us special. If we were all the same, there wouldn’t be stories. Then this is not hell.

Avinash, how are you looking at Renu Chaudhary’s character this time?

This time a lot of love, understanding and responsibility has come into the character of Renu. I think one should know oneself before knowing each other. This time Renu is trying to know herself. A new dimension will be seen between him and Hathiram’s relationship. Gul Panag has lived the character of Renu very beautifully.

How are you seeing the character of Ishwak Singh?

Ishwak Singh has a very special character. This is a character whose kind of person one tries to be. I think Imran Ansari’s character in Ishwak Singh’s series is such that everyone should emulate him.

Ishwak Singh has such a character as Imran Ansari in the series.

Ishwak, what kind of preparation have you done this time for the role of Imran Ansari?

There was no need to prepare anything special separately. I kept molding myself according to the character of the first season. We have been going through many such emotional moments around us, which remain somewhere inside us. All those emotions come out automatically during shooting.

How difficult is it to come out of such a character?

How can I explain this, it is a part of our job. It is very difficult to bind yourself to a feeling that is not within you. During this time one has to separate oneself from one’s own world. And, after the scene is cut, they come into their own world.

Gul, how do you see this show?

Paatal Lok has only connected people. In this we have shown such a reality which is usually limited to the eighth page of the newspaper. This series has entertained so many people. It has forced me to think as much. This is the biggest success of Paatal Lok. This series is showing all those things, which despite knowing, we are becoming ignorant.

What does Renu do to get out of Chaudhary’s character?

People often ask what is the similarity between Renu’s character and me. I am not like Renu at all. I come from such a background. Where I have got only empowerment. Renu comes from a class for which this is a very distant dream. During shooting, I leave myself in the vanity van. I wonder how Renu will react in the circumstances she has gone through to reach there? There is a Renu and Ansari in all of us, which we have kept suppressed.

Avinash, where does he get the courage to show the truth of the world?

It is very important to see the world with a witness attitude. I look at things from such a perspective that I cannot judge. I try to show it the way it is.

What kind of problems arise while shooting on real location?

This time many beautiful locations and characters will be seen. Every day of shooting has been a beautiful moment. There was no such special problem. Wherever we shot, we got a lot of cooperation from people.
