Sudhanshu Pandey was born in Badaun, but his home was in Gorakhpur. Studied in Bareilly. He was so aggressive that he used to carry a gun in school. Sudhanshu’s height made him different from others. Started modeling at the age of 18. Then got a parallel lead role in Akshay Kumar’s film Khiladi 420.

There was a 30 room mansion in Gorakhpur. I was born in Badaun, Uttar Pradesh. Although the house was built in Gorakhpur. This is because my father was in the Railways. He kept getting transferred. There were only four people in the house, my parents, me and one of my brothers. There was a 30 room house in Gorakhpur, or rather a mansion. There were a lot of vacant lands around. We used to grow vegetables there.

Wanted to join army in childhood I wanted to join the army in my childhood. I have always been a staunch nationalist. When someone says something wrong about the country, the blood boils. With the intention of joining the Army, I took admission in the Air Force School in Bareilly. Well, I wanted to join the army, but my studies were not done accordingly.

Sudhanshu was born on 22 August 1974. Apart from being an actor, Sudhanshu is also a singer, writer and producer.

Used to carry a loaded gun to school I used to bully a lot during school time. In other words, he used to commit a lot of hooliganism. At the age of 15, he used to carry a loaded revolver. The atmosphere was such that unless you did something dangerous, you would not get respect.

I had a bike. He used to keep a gun hidden in his mattress. Half the boys in school had a problem with my looks. He had a problem as to why I walk with a swagger. Why I ride a bike in style. People used to develop enmity over small matters.

Modeling at the age of 18, 25000 fees Well, I turned 18. One day I saw an ad of a Delhi based modeling agency in the newspaper. He was looking for a model. My brother encouraged me to go into it. Father also supported.

I moved to Delhi with a Pathani suit and curly hair. My photo was taken there. Called back after a few days. He selected me and also talked about paying a fee of Rs 25,000. This is from 1994. Even my father’s salary was not Rs 25,000. I was completely shocked.

Modeling career was going well, still went to Mumbai decided to Sudhanshu’s modeling career was going well in Delhi. Suddenly he decided to go to Mumbai. He says, ‘I decided to go to Mumbai, but I had no one there. There was no arrangement for food and accommodation.

Because of modeling, I and Dino Morea (actor) became good friends. He lived in Bangalore and I lived in Delhi. We both were planning to live together in Mumbai. However, in the meantime I got married. Then Dino had to go alone because I was going to shift with my wife.

After coming to Mumbai, I did a lot of ad films. Did many fashion shows. I did ad films with Shashi Kapoor’s son Kunal Kapoor. After this I started getting offers for TV serials. Did TV shows with Ravi Chopra and Balaji Telefilms.

Akshay Kumar sent his brother to Sudhanshu Meanwhile, in 2000, I debuted with Akshay Kumar’s film Khiladi 420. Actually, Akshay himself wanted me to work with him in this film. He sent one of his cousin brothers to me. I already knew his cousin brother, he was a good friend.

He said that brother (Akshay) wants to do a film with you. I went to Filmistan Studio. The film’s director Neeraj Vora was also present there. He cast me as a parallel lead actor to Akshay Kumar in the film.

Seeing his performance, girls started taking off their clothes and throwing them on the stage. Sudhanshu was also a part of the famous band group ‘Band of Boys’. This band created many songs. There was amazing craze for this band group. Sudhanshu said, ‘It was about 2003 or 2004. We were performing in a stadium in Ahmedabad.

There I saw that the girls were crying. People were tearing their clothes in joy. Sometimes the girls would take off their undergarments and throw them at us.

Band of Boys was made up of a team of 5 people. The band stopped as soon as Sudhanshu (second from right) left the group. Now it has been revived again.

Half of the band’s money was taken away by the management Because of the band, I completely abstained from acting for two-three years, which was my mistake. I should have kept doing films in between. This would have kept my career progressing faster. I got a lot of popularity from the band, but did not get any money. Perhaps, the band’s management team was responsible for this.

Whatever money came, he used to take 40 to 50 percent of it. The remaining half of the money was divided among our team of 5 people. From here the bells started ringing in life. I started feeling a little worried. I left the band with a sad heart.

One day I had a panic attack in the restaurant, my whole body started trembling. It was 2007, one day I was sitting in a restaurant with a friend. While talking suddenly my hands and legs started swelling. Breathing stopped. The whole body started trembling. In a way, that was the first panic attack. The doctor gave medicine.

After taking that medicine, I became completely relaxed. That procrastination pushed me towards depression. Tears started coming out of the eyes while sitting. Used to stare at the window the whole day. He started crying after seeing his son. During depression, a person goes through a completely dark phase; in such a phase, he himself does not know when he starts crying.

Took refuge in Mahakal, came out of depression after four years One day I contacted my childhood friend Priyank Mishra through Facebook. He studied with me in school. He took me to Mahakaleshwar temple in Ujjain. My mood started changing as soon as I went to Mahakal’s court. There I met a Mahatma.

Stayed under his tutelage. It took almost four years to finally get out of depression completely. If there was a weak hearted person in my place, he might have done something untoward to himself.

Despite depression, worked in Singh is King I was definitely in depression, but had not stopped doing films. In 2007 itself, he went to Australia to shoot Singh is King. There co-star Ranveer Shorey helped a lot.

He gave me a medicine to take whenever I felt uneasy or troubled. Only Ranveer Shorey knew that I was suffering from depression. He had also been suffering from this disease. Even went to the hospital.

Johnny Lever sprinkled holy water on his head, lived in the neighborhood Johnny Lever lived on the floor above my house. One day I became very upset. I called them and asked for help. They brought holy water (special kind of water) with them and sprinkled it on my head. I got a lot of relief from this. At that time Johnny Bhai became God’s messenger for me. Later, I sold that expensive house of mine.

I realized that there was some negative energy in that house, which was not allowing me to move forward. I sold my house to a pilot. The interesting thing is that after staying for a few days, the pilot sold the house to Johnny Bhai. Now Johnny Bhai’s children live in that house.
