Swami Govindanand Saraswati on Sunday called Swami Avimukteshwaranand a fake baba. Govindanand Saraswati said that these days a fake baba named Mukteshwaranand is becoming very popular. Prime Minister Modi has touched his feet and big businessmen like Ambani have welcomed him in their homes.

He further said that Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has given the tag of ‘Shankaracharya’ to Avimukteshwarananda. I want to send this message to all the citizens of the country that Mukteshwarananda is not even worthy of adding sadhu, saint or sanyasi to his name, so forget Shankaracharya.

Swami Avimukteshwarananda was in the news recently due to some statements. A few days ago, he had said that Uddhav Thackeray has been cheated. He also alleged that 228 kg of gold was stolen from Kedarnath.

Swami Avimukteshwarananda met Uddhav Thackeray in Mumbai on 15 July.

Govindananda said- Avimukteshwarananda was declared a fugitive by the Varanasi court
Govindananda showed the Varanasi court order and said that a non-bailable arrest warrant was issued against Avimukteshwarananda, he was declared a fugitive. We want to tell all this to the Supreme Court but they keep giving next dates and we want justice. They are harming the country.

Govindananda asked that we are presenting all these documents for the sake of the country. Avimukteshwarananda is killing and kidnapping people, he is questioning the Pran Pratishtha of Lord Ram, he is attending weddings as a sanyasi. He is saying that 228 kg of gold is missing in Kedarnath, does he even know the difference between gold and brass?

The Supreme Court had stayed the coronation of Avimukteshwarananda
In October 2022, the Supreme Court had stayed the coronation of Avimukteshwarananda Saraswati as the new Shankaracharya of Jyotish Peeth in Uttarakhand. The order was passed after Solicitor General Tushar Mehta told the court that the Shankaracharya of Govardhan Math in Puri had filed an affidavit saying that the appointment of Avimukteshwarananda as the new Shankaracharya of Jyotish Peeth was not supported.

The Supreme Court was hearing an application alleging that Swami Avimukteshwarananda Saraswati had falsely claimed that the late Shankaracharya Swami Swaroopanand Saraswati had appointed him as the successor Shankaracharya of Jyotish Peetha.

Govindanand said- Congress is supporting Avimukteshwaranand
Govindanand Saraswati further claimed that Congress is supporting Avimukteshwarananda. Priyanka Gandhi Vadra wrote a letter to Avimukteshwarananda on 13 September 2022, addressing him as revered Shankaracharya Avimukteshwarananda. Congress released a letter and Avimukteshwarananda approached the Supreme Court… When the Supreme Court had issued a stay, how did Priyanka Gandhi Vadra write a letter addressing Avimukteshwarananda as Shankaracharya?

He asked, “Will the Congress decide who is the Shankaracharya? Who is standing against Narendra Modi and who is supporting him? Priyanka Gandhi Vadra. When Rahul Gandhi makes anti-Hindu remarks, Avimukteshwarananda will stand with him. Why? The reason is this letter. Congress is playing a game and Avimukteshwarananda is a toy. I want to ask Priyanka Gandhi Vadra that either she should publicly apologize for writing this letter or else we will file a contempt case against her in the Supreme Court.”

Avimukteshwarananda attended Anant Ambani’s wedding
Earlier this month, Swami Avimukteshwarananda Saraswati, known as the Shankaracharya of Jyotish Peeth in Uttarakhand, attended Anand Ambani’s wedding in Mumbai and then visited Matoshree, the private residence of Shiv Sena leader Uddhav Thackeray.

After meeting the Shiv Sena chief, Avimukteshwarananda made some political comments which were considered an attack on the BJP. He said that Uddhav is suffering because his party has split. He said Uddhav Thackeray has been betrayed and many people are saddened by this. Till he becomes the Chief Minister again, the pain of the people will not subside. Betrayal is the biggest sin. One who betrays cannot be a Hindu. One who tolerates betrayal is a Hindu.

On July 13, Avimukteshwarananda came to Mumbai to attend the wedding of Anant and Radhika.

The head of Juna Akhara also criticized Avimukteshwarananda
Juna Akhara’s Mahant Narayan Giri also criticized Avimukteshwarananda and said that no saint goes to the weddings of common people and industrialists. He said that Swami Avimukteshwarananda Saraswati went to meet Thackeray, who betrayed Devendra Fadnavis and joined the heretics.

Giri said that Fadnavis was going to become the Chief Minister, but Thackeray betrayed him. He was referring to Shiv Sena’s alliance with Congress and NCP despite being in a pre-poll alliance with BJP. He is going to the houses of such people, blessing them and saying that he has been betrayed. He has been betrayed. Uddhav Thackeray has betrayed… betrayed the Hindu society.

There are four monasteries in the country
According to Hindu scholars, no Peetha can exist without a Shankaracharya. Shankaracharya is a commonly used title for heads of monasteries called Mathas in the Advaita Vedanta tradition of Hinduism.

According to religious beliefs, Adi Shankaracharya founded four monasteries – Badrikashram Jyotish Peetha in the north, Sringeri Sharada Peetham in Chikmangaluru, Karnataka in the south, Sharada Peetha in Dwarka in the west and Govardhan Peetha in Puri, Odisha in the east.
