A passenger plane went up in flames while landing at an airport in South Korea on Sunday. The video of the horrific incident surfaced.

A horrific video of a passenger plane with 181 people on board surfaced, showing the aircraft crashing and going up in flames while landing at an airport in South Korea on Sunday.
Over 60 people were killed in the mishap, according to officials.
How Did The Plane Crash Take Place?
The accident took place at 9.07 am as South Korea’s Jeju Air plane was making its landing at Muan International Airport and veered off the runway and collided with a fence, the officials said, The Korea Times reported.
The authorities found several bodies at the spot and transported them to the local hospitals, Lee Seong-sil, a Muan Fire Department official, said, as per The New York Times.
“We are trying to find more casualties,” he said.
All of the deceased passengers were found in the tail section of the plane while two were rescued. The casualties are likely to increase, officials said, as per The Korea Times.
As many as 181 people, including six crew members, were on the plane that was returning from Bangkok.
Most of the passengers on the plane were Koreans while two were Thai nationals.
Authorities Suspect Birdstrike
The authorities extinguished the fire and launched a rescue operation at the crash site.
They also began an investigation to ascertain the exact cause of the plane crash. As per initial probe, they said that the fatal crash could have taken place due to a collision with a flock of birds which led to malfunctioning of the landing gear, The Korea Herald reported.
