It has been 65 hours since 3-year-old Chetna fell into a 700 feet deep borewell in Kotputli. Chetna is currently about 20 feet away from the rescue teams, but the operation has stopped since 3 pm on Wednesday night.

After digging a pit of about 150 feet at the bottom, the work has stopped due to a stone coming in. For the past 45 hours, Chetna has been stuck on the hook of a desi jugaad.
After the completion of the excavation, the team of rat miners will dig the tunnel. Earlier, digging of a parallel pit was started from 8 am on Wednesday through piling machine.
The operation was also stopped midway due to removal of soil. Actually, at around 2 pm on Monday afternoon, Chetna of Dhani of Badiyali of Kiratpur had fallen into a 700 feet deep borewell while playing. Till Tuesday evening, 4 attempts to get him out through desi jugaad had failed. After this the machines were called.
No movement of Chetna has been seen on camera for two days. She has been hungry and thirsty for three days. There is also resentment among the family and villagers regarding the delay in the rescue operation. Meanwhile, District Collector Kalpana Aggarwal reached the spot for the first time late on Wednesday night.

He said that the NDRF team has already led such rescue operations. Aggarwal said that a lot of preparations have to be done for the piling machine. This machine is quite big. It is loaded on a big trailer. A lot of hard work had to be done to get the machine here. We had to build roads. Many electric poles had to be removed. This caused the delay

After every 30 feet excavation, a 4 feet diameter iron pipe was inserted into the tunnel and welded.

Chetna’s mother Dholi Devi’s health deteriorated on Wednesday night. After this the doctor was called and the checkup was done. Dholi Devi has not eaten or drunk anything since Monday.

The piling machine started digging at 8 am on Wednesday.

The NDRF team also continuously worked to rescue the girl through Plan-A.
