The website and app of Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) remained closed for about 1 hour on Monday (December 9) due to technical problems. During this time, downtime message was visible on the website.

It was written in it- ‘E-ticketing service is not available due to maintenance activity. Try later. For Cancellation/File TDR, please call customer service number. 14646, 0755-6610661 and 0755-4090600 or mail to etickets@irctc.co.in.

However, now the service of the website and app is working normally. At the same time, IRCTC has told in the website that from 4 pm today till 4 pm tomorrow i.e. on 10th December, new registration in IRCTC, change in login password and update of profile password will not be possible.

IRCTC joined Indian Railways in 1999. Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) is a ‘Mini Ratna (Category-I)’ Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Railways, Government of India. IRCTC was incorporated as a branch of Indian Railways on 27 September 1999.
