In the African continent, Democratic Republic of Congo (DR Congo), about 150 people have died due to an unknown disease with flu-like symptoms. According to news agency AP, these deaths were recorded between November 10 and November 25 in Panzi state of DR Congo. Children and women are most affected by this.
Health Minister of Panji State, Apollinaire Yumba, said that the symptoms of this mysterious disease are like flu and include high fever, severe headache, cough and anemia. Many people died due to lack of timely treatment. Experts are continuously monitoring it.
According to State Deputy Governor Remi Saki, the death toll is between 67 and 143. To avoid the disease, people have been asked to stay away from dead bodies. An appeal has also been made for national and international help.

Local leader Seforian Manjanja told AP – As the number of sick people is increasing, the situation is becoming very worrying. Panji is a rural area, due to which it is very difficult for medicines to reach here. Many people have died in their own homes due to lack of care.
According to local experts, women and children have been most affected by this disease. A World Health Organization spokesperson said the disease was detected only last week. UN Health Agency and the Health Ministry of the Democratic Republic of Congo are jointly doing research on this.
