The date was 3rd December, it was 10.23 pm in South Korea. At this very moment, President Yoon Suk Yeol appears live on TV and announces martial law (military rule) in the country.

South Korea’s opposition parties unite against the sudden martial law and call an emergency session of Parliament within half an hour. As soon as the information about calling an emergency session is received, the President sends the army to capture the Parliament.

Following the President’s orders, the army marches towards the Parliament. An army helicopter lands in the playground of the complex and the soldiers run towards the Parliament House. They were about to enter the Parliament House when the army faced heavy opposition from the MPs and workers of the opposition party.

A resolution against martial law is passed and emergency is lifted from the country. But how did all this happen?
