The stock market is witnessing a boom today i.e. on July 19, the last trading day of the week. The Sensex opened at 81,585 with a gain of 241 points.
At the same time, Nifty is up by 50 points and is trading at the level of 24,850. Out of the 30 Sensex stocks, 12 are seeing a rise and 18 are seeing a fall.
FIIs bought shares worth ₹5,483.63 crore on Thursday
- There is a decline in Asian markets today. Japan’s Nikkei has fallen by 0.43%. Hong Kong’s Hang Seng has fallen by 1.94% and China’s Shanghai Composite has fallen by 0.63%.
- Foreign Institutional Investors (FIIs) bought shares worth ₹5,483.63 crore on Thursday (July 19). Meanwhile, Domestic Institutional Investors (DIIs) sold shares worth ₹2,904.25 crore during this period.
- There was a rise in the US market on Thursday. Dow Jones closed at 40,665, falling 1.29%. Whereas NASDAQ closed at 17,871 with a fall of 0.70%.
Sunstar Limited’s IPO will open today
Sunstar Limited’s Initial Public Offer i.e. IPO will open today. Investors will be able to bid for this issue till July 23. The company’s shares will be listed on Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE) on July 26.
The price band of this issue is ₹90-₹95. Retail investors can bid for a minimum of one lot i.e. 150 shares. If you apply for 1 lot as per the upper price band of the IPO of ₹95, then you will have to invest ₹14,250 for it.

Yesterday the market made an all time high
Earlier yesterday, on July 18, the stock market made an all-time high for the second consecutive trading day. During trading, the Sensex touched 81,522 and the Nifty touched 24,829. However, later the market came down slightly and the Sensex closed at 81,343 with a gain of 626 points.
At the same time, Nifty also rose by 187 points and closed at the level of 24,800. Earlier on Tuesday also the market had made an all-time high. On Wednesday, i.e. 17th July, the market was closed due to Muharram holiday.
