1. Shinde asked for Home-Finance Ministry in exchange of CM post, Mahayuti meeting to be held in Mumbai postponed
Caretaker Chief Minister Eknath Shinde had met the BJP high command in Delhi on Thursday. He returned to Mumbai only on Thursday night.
There is a dilemma regarding forming a new government in Maharashtra. Eknath Shinde has asked for Home and Finance ministries in exchange for the post of CM in the Mahayuti government. According to sources, BJP is not ready for this, hence the alliance meeting to be held in Mumbai was postponed. This meeting can now be held on 1st December. The name of the Chief Minister can be announced on the same day.
Reason for Shinde’s sudden visit to the village: According to sources, Shinde has suddenly gone to his village Satara. He has handed over the list of portfolio distribution to Amit Shah. Shinde wants to give time to BJP to take a decision, that is why he has left for the village. On the other hand, Shiv Sena leader Sanjay Shirsat said that if Shinde does not accept the post of Deputy CM, then another face from the party will take over this post. Read the full news here…
2. Team India will not go to Pakistan; Decision today whether Champions Trophy will be held in Pakistan or not? The decision on whether the Champions Trophy to be held in Pakistan in February next year will be held or not will be taken today. For this, ICC had called a meeting of all the board members in Dubai on 28 November, but no decision could be taken. After Pakistan got the opportunity to host the Champions Trophy, India has refused to go there citing security reasons.
PCB adamant on not making hybrid model: Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had earlier proposed to hold all the Indian matches in Lahore and send the players to India after the match. 3. SC order- Survey report of Sambhal Masjid will not be opened, trial court should not take action till January 8
Amid tight security in Sambhal, about a thousand people came to Jama Masjid to offer Friday prayers.
The Supreme Court has ordered that the survey report of Sambhal’s Jama Masjid will not be opened. Also asked the trial court not to take any action till January 8. Violence broke out during a survey in a mosque in Sambhal on 24 November, in which 4 youths died. The Hindu side claims that Jama Masjid is Harihar temple. Sambhal Court had ordered a survey on this.
4. Gehlot said- Court case on 800 year old Ajmer Dargah is wrong, PM Modi has already offered a sheet here.
Former Rajasthan CM Ashok Gehlot said, ‘Ajmer Dargah is 800 years old. Whatever religious places were built till August 15, 1947, they will remain in the same condition, such is the law. It is wrong to raise questions on them. Gehlot said-
Whoever the Prime Minister is, be it Congress, BJP or any other party, from the time of Pandit Nehru till Modi ji, a chadar is offered in the Dargah on behalf of all the Prime Ministers. You are also offering bedsheets and people from your party are also filing cases in the court. If you are creating confusion, what will people be thinking?
Claim of Shiva temple in Ajmer Dargah: On November 27, the Civil Court had accepted the petition claiming that the Dargah of Khwaja Moinuddin Chishti of Ajmer is a Sankat Mochan Mahadev Temple. Hindu Sena’s petition will be heard on December 20. Read the full news here…
5. Kharge said- There is a need for change in Congress from top to bottom, election strategy will have to be improved.
The party’s working meeting was held at the Congress office in Delhi. Rahul Gandhi, Mallikarjun Kharge and all senior leaders participated in it.
Congress Working Committee (CWC) meeting was held in Delhi regarding the defeat in Maharashtra Assembly elections. Party president Mallikarjun Kharge said, ‘To strengthen the party, there is a need for change from top to bottom. The below expected performance in the state elections is a challenge for us. Lack of unity among party leaders is hurting us. We will also have to improve our election strategy.
Congress reduced to 16 seats in Maharashtra elections: BJP has won 132 seats in Maharashtra Assembly elections. However, this could not have been predicted after seeing the results of the Lok Sabha elections held 5 months ago. If we convert Maharashtra Lok Sabha elections assembly wise, then Congress had won 63 seats, which is now reduced to just 16 seats. 7. GDP growth declined to 5.4% between July and September, the lowest in 21 months. India’s GDP growth has declined to 5.4% in the July-September quarter of FY 2025. This is the slowest growth in seven quarters i.e. 21 months. GDP growth has slowed down due to poor performance of the manufacturing sector. Earlier, the growth in the third quarter of 2023 was 4.3%.
