CLAT exam will be held on December 1, 2024.
Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2025 will be held on December 1, 2024. The Consortium of National Law Universities (NLUs) has released the guidelines for this examination. According to these guidelines-
1. The items that are allowed for the students to carry at the examination center are: black or blue ballpoint pen, a transparent water bottle, an analog watch and a photo ID card proof.
2. The candidate’s photograph, name and admit card number will be written in the question booklet. The candidates should remember to verify these details when they receive the booklet.
3. The students have to answer all the questions in the OMR response sheet provided with the question booklet. The first page of the OMR sheet must be submitted to the invigilator at the end of the examination.
4. The candidates are also required to mention the question booklet and OMR sheet number. During the examination, they also have to sign at the prescribed place in the attendance sheet.
Total number of questions to be answered in the examination
The candidates will be required to write 120 questions of multiple choice type in the CLAT exam. They will be given two pages for writing the rough work in the question booklet. No extra sheet will be given to the students for doing the rough work. There is no negative marking in the examination.
Other Important Instructions
The CLAT 2025 exam is scheduled to take place offline on December 1 from 2 PM to 4 PM. The students belonging to the PwD (person with a disability) category will be permitted an extra 40 minutes to finish their paper and the exam will be completed at 4:40 PM.
What is CLAT?
CLAT is a national-level entrance examination conducted by the Consortium of National Law Universities. This exam is organised for the candidates seeking admission to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law programs offered by 24 National Law Universities in India. In addition to that, many affiliated universities and organisations use the CLAT exam for their admissions and recruitment processes.
