A video of a youth in Uttarakhand’s Haldwani city has gone viral on social media. The video depicts the individual performing reckless stunts on a motorcycle at high speed while shirtless.
The Haldwani police took swift action after the video surfaced online, detaining the youth and seizing his motorcycle. The incident reportedly occurred near the Walkway Mall in Haldwani. The youth had posted the video on his Instagram account, prompting the police to take immediate action.
In the video, the youth is purportedly seen performing dangerous stunts on his bike while shirtless on Nainital Road. The police had launched a road safety campaign under the instruction of Nainital SSP Prahlad Narayan Meena. As part of this campaign, the Haldwani Kotwali police took cognisance of the viral video and took action against the youth.
Haldwani Kotwali Inspector-in-charge, Rajesh Yadav stated that the youth was identified as Shyam Singh, a resident of Reetha Shahib village. The Police seized his motorbike (UK 04 AN 5723) and took action under the Motor Vehicles Act. The youth has apologized for pulling off this dangerous stunt.
