Competitive applicants will begin an indefinite dharna at the UP Public Service Commission’s Gate No. 2.
They claim that the normalisation process may result in loss.
The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission(UPPSC) has decided to take the PCS Prelims 2024 and RO/ARO Prelims 2023 will be held in two days and two shifts. Even before the preliminary exam date was revealed, candidates were demonstrating against it. On November 11, candidates will lodge their protests against this decision once more. Competitive applicants will begin an indefinite dharna at the UP Public Service Commission’s Gate No. 2. According to competitive candidates, this dharna will go on till the panel reverses its ruling.
According to Pratima Singh, a resident of Prayagraj who is studying for competitive exams, the PCS and RO/ARO preliminary tests have to take place on the same day and during the same shift. She claims that until a guarantee is obtained to administer the tests on the same day and during the same shift, the anxiety will persist.
On December 7 and 8, there will be two shifts for the UP PCS 2024 preliminary exam. On December 22 and 23, there will be two shifts for the preliminary test for the 2024 Recruitment of Review Officers and Assistant Review Officers (RO/ ARO).
Additionally, competitive students are requesting that the commission revoke the normalisation judgment. They claim that the normalisation process may result in loss. It will also encourage corruption. Students who are competitive claim that the advertisement included no reference to normalisation. The commission is breaking the terms of the advertisement by doing this. They claim they would also go to court if the commission doesn’t reverse the decision.
In a recent instance, the Supreme Court decided that regulations cannot be altered midway through the hiring process. Candidates who plan to take the UP PCS exam claim that it is against the Supreme Court’s ruling to apply normalisation to the PCS and RO/ARO recruitment preliminary exam.
