The stock market will be closed tomorrow i.e. Wednesday (17 July 2024) due to Muharram holiday. In such a situation, there will be no trading on this day in the two stock market exchanges, Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE) and National Stock Exchange (NSE).

This closure will affect all segments including equity, derivatives and SLB i.e. Security Lending and Borrowing. Normal trading in the market will resume on Thursday, July 18.

At the same time, Multi Commodity Exchange of India Limited (MCX) will remain closed for the morning session on July 17. However, it will reopen for the evening session from 5:00 pm to 11:30 am or 11:55 am.

The first quarter results of these companies will be released tomorrow
The market will be closed tomorrow due to holiday, but companies like Asian Paints Limited, LTI Mindtree and Hathway Cable will release their Q1 FY 2024-25 results.

After this, the market came down a bit and the Sensex closed at 80,716 with a gain of 51 points. Nifty also saw a gain of 26 points, it closed at the level of 24,613.
