After this the yoga teacher came out of the buried pit and reached the police station. Police said on Friday that the incident occurred on October 23. So far 6 people have been arrested in the case.

Yoga teacher’s affair… the whole matter in 6 points

  • A woman named Bindu, living in Chikballapur, Karnataka, suspected her husband of having an affair with a yoga teacher. The woman asked her friend Sathish Reddy to keep an eye on the yoga teacher. Reddy is a resident of Bengaluru. He is also a private detective.
  • Reddy started taking yoga classes from the yoga teacher 3 months ago and on this pretext he won the trust of the yoga teacher. On October 23, he took the yoga teacher for a tour of the city.
  • According to the yoga teacher, while touring the city, Reddy took him to a deserted place outside the city. After this he removed the yoga teacher’s clothes and started beating her.
  • After the fight, Reddy strangled the yoga teacher with a cable. The yoga teacher first pretended to faint. Then he pretended to die using a special breathing technique.
  • Reddy considered him dead and buried him in a pit. After this, Reddy, with the help of his friends, looted the yoga teacher’s jewellery, poured mud and fled from the spot.
  • Police said that the yoga teacher came out of the pit with the help of the villagers. He asked for clothes from the villagers and then reached the police station and lodged a report.

Police conducted medical examination of victim yoga teacher

6 people including Bindu, Satish Reddy have been arrested in the case. The medical examination of the victim yoga teacher is being done. A case has been registered under kidnapping, attempt to murder and other sections of BNS.

Police said that the car from which the yoga teacher was kidnapped. It was stolen from Bengaluru a few days ago. Online transactions have also taken place between the accused woman Bindu and Satish Reddy. Complete details of the case will be given only after investigation.

NCRB report claims- crimes against women are increasing

The NCRB report has revealed that the rate of crime against women (number of incidents per 1 lakh population) has increased from 64.5% in 2021 to 66% in 2022. Out of this, a total of 48 thousand 755 cases of crime against women were registered in 19 metros during 2022, which is 12.3% more as compared to 2021 (43 thousand 414 cases).

NCRB report states that according to the crime data of 2022, Uttar Pradesh was on top with 65 thousand 743 cases against women. This was followed by Maharashtra (45331 cases) and Rajasthan (45058 cases). West Bengal was at fourth position in terms of crimes against women.
