Army and police were informed after the murder of 2 defense guards in Kishtwar. A search operation was conducted to find the terrorists.
On Thursday, terrorists killed two village defense guards in Adhwari area of Kishtwar district of Jammu and Kashmir. Police said that the terrorists kidnapped the village defense guard who had gone to graze cattle in Munjala Dhar forest. After this they were shot together.
After the incident, a search operation is being conducted with the help of army personnel to find the terrorists. At present no information about terrorists has been received in the area. The deceased have been identified as Nazir Ahmed and Kuldeep Kumar, village defense guards of Ohli-Kuntwada.
The Kashmir Tigers group of Pakistan’s terrorist organization Jaish-e-Mohammed has taken responsibility for this attack. Kashmir Tigers shared pictures of the dead bodies of the defense guards on social media, in which both were bleeding from the mouth. Both of them were also blindfolded. Kashmir Tigers wrote in the post – This war will continue till the independence of Kashmir.
On the other hand, an encounter between terrorists and the army started in Sopore, Baramulla on Thursday night. Army’s Chinar Corps told on X that information was received about some terrorists hiding in Panipura area of Sopore, Baramulla. During the search operation, the terrorists opened fire, to which the army personnel also responded.
Kashmir Tigers claim- Defense guards were chasing Majahideen
Kashmir Tigers posted on Twitter claiming responsibility for the attack. It was written that both the village defense guards were chasing the Mujahideen of Kashmir Tigers. The Mujahideen caught both the guards red-handed and killed them.
It was written in the post – You can see the record of Kashmir Tigers. We have never killed any common Hindu. We are fighting against the Indian Army. It is being seen that some people want to become a tool of the Indian Army by joining the Village Defense Guard. They should learn a lesson from today’s incident.
CM expressed grief, LG said – will take revenge
- CM Omar, Farooq Abdullah: Jammu and Kashmir National Conference said on Friday that Chief Minister Omar Abdullah and JKNC President Dr Farooq Abdullah have condemned the killing of the village defense guard. He has said that such incidents of barbaric violence remain an obstacle to peace in Jammu and Kashmir.
- LG Manoj Sinha: No words are enough to condemn the Kishtwar attack. I express my condolences to the families of the brave sons who were martyred in this cowardly attack. We are determined to destroy all terrorist organizations and avenge this attack.
7 attacks in last 7 days
Terrorist attacks have increased in Jammu and Kashmir after Omar Abdullah became the Chief Minister. There have been 7 attacks in the last 7 days including the ongoing encounter in Sopore, Baramulla and Village Defense Guard.
- 5 November: One terrorist was killed in the encounter in Bandipora. Police and army personnel conducted the search operation.
- 3 November: A grenade blast took place on Sunday in the Sunday Market near the Tourist Reception Center of Srinagar. 12 people were injured in this. Immediately after the incident, the entire area was cordoned off to nab the attackers.
- 3 encounters on 1-2 November: Within 36 hours, there were 3 encounters between the army and terrorists in Srinagar, Bandipora and Anantnag. Lashkar commander killed in Srinagar. Army killed 2 terrorists in Anantnag.
- 28 october: 3 terrorists killed in Akhnoor. Terrorists had fired on an army ambulance near LoC. After this they ran away towards the forest. No army soldier was injured in the encounter that lasted for 5 hours.
- 24 October: Terrorists attacked army vehicle in Baramulla. Three soldiers were martyred in this. Two laborers also died. The PAFF organization claimed responsibility for the attack.
- 24 October: Terrorists opened fire on a non-Kashmiri laborer in Batgund of Pulwama district of South Kashmir. The worker was injured in the firing.
- 20 October: A doctor from Kashmir, an engineer from MP and 5 laborers from Punjab-Bihar lost their lives in Sonamarg, Ganderbal. The responsibility for this was taken by Lashkar’s organization The Resistance Front (TRF).
- 16 October: A non-local youth was shot dead by terrorists in Shopian. After the attack, a search operation was conducted to find the terrorists in the area.
On November 2, the army had killed top Lashkar commander Usman alias Chhota Waleed in Srinagar.
Helper of terrorists arrested Meanwhile, Jammu and Kashmir Police, along with 22RR and 92 battalions of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) on November 5, also arrested an associate of the terrorists. He has been identified as Ashiq Hussain Wani, a resident of Tuzar Sharif in Sopore, Jammu and Kashmir. Police have recovered a pistol, seven live rounds and a magazine from his possession.
