A layer of smog was seen lingering over the national capital in the morning next to Diwali celebrations in the city.

The national capital was engulfed with a layer of smog on the day following Diwali celebrations in the city as the air quality worsened on Friday morning. Delhi recorded an AQI of 361 today at 7 am, a significant rise from 328 yesterday.

According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) data, several areas in the city recorded AQI over 380 while the air quality also went past 390 and was close to 400 in many areas. RK Puram saw an AQI of 398.
