Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi on Wednesday filed her nomination as Congress candidate for the Wayanad Lok Sabha by-election. He has declared assets worth more than Rs 12 crore in the election nomination papers.
Priyanka stated in the affidavit submitted along with her nomination papers that she has movable assets worth Rs 4.24 crore, while her immovable assets are worth Rs 7.74 crore.
Apart from this, she has also given details of the assets of her husband Robert Vadra. Vadra has total assets worth Rs 65.54 crore, of which movable properties are worth Rs 37.9 crore and immovable properties are worth Rs 27.64 crore.
Priyanka Gandhi is contesting elections for the first time. BJP has fielded Navya Haridas against him. In the Lok Sabha elections 2024, Rahul Gandhi had won from Wayanad in Kerala and Rae Bareli Lok Sabha seat in UP.
Rahul chose Rae Bareli, the traditional seat of the Gandhi family, and left Wayanad. Voting will take place here on 13th November and the results will come on 23rd November.
