Actor Kartik Aryan will play the lead role in director Vivek Agnihotri’s upcoming film ‘Operation Sindoor’. Variety India has made this claim in one of its reports. The film is based on Lieutenant General K.J.S. ‘Tiny’ will be based on Dhillon’s book ‘Operation Sindoor: The Untold Story of India’s Deep Strikes Inside Pakistan’. Vivek Agnihotri had announced this film on social media in March. He had told that the story of the film will be based on the events after the Pahalgam terrorist attack. For this, research has been done in collaboration with different teams of the Indian Army. According to Vivek, the story of that military operation will be shown in the film, which affected the security of the entire area. An attempt will be made to show real incidents with facts in the film. Regarding the film, Bhushan Kumar had said that this story has emerged on its own and it is necessary to show it responsibly. He called it an attempt to record an important event of the country. T-Series and I Am Buddha Productions will produce the film. Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series and Vivek Agnihotri’s banner I Am Buddha Productions will jointly produce the film. This is the first time that Vivek Agnihotri and Kartik Aryan will work together in a film. Vivek has previously directed films like ‘The Tashkent Files’, ‘The Kashmir Files’, ‘The Vaccine War’ and ‘The Bengal Files’. Operation Sindoor took place in May 2025. Operation Sindoor was the action of the Indian Army on terrorist bases in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir on 7 May 2025. This action was taken after the terrorist attack in Pahalgam on 22 April 2025, in which 26 people died. The objective of Operation Sindoor was to destroy the terrorist hideouts responsible for the attack. Karthik will also be seen in these films. These days Karthik is shooting for Shimit Amin’s film ‘Captain India’. After completing the shooting of this film based on the backdrop of Houthi conflict in Yemen, he will start work on ‘Operation Vermillion’. Karthik’s next film ‘Nagjila’ will be released in theaters on 12 February 2027. This film, being produced by Karan Johar and Mahavir Jain, is being directed by Mrigdeep Singh Lamba. With this, Preeti Mukhundan will debut in Hindi films. Apart from this, Karthik and Sreeleela’s untitled musical romantic drama film being directed by Anurag Basu will be released on 30 April 2027. The producer of this film is Bhushan Kumar. Kartik is also working with Kabir Khan in an untitled biographical sports drama. The film is inspired by the life of Tajamul Islam, a young athlete from Kashmir, who has become world champion in kickboxing twice. The film will be co-produced by Applause Entertainment and Kartik Aryan. Apart from this, Kartik also has Anees Bazmee’s ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 4’ and Karan Johar’s ‘Kaalia’.
