Saudi Arabia has offered Rs 95 billion to end the ongoing tension with Yemen’s Houthi rebels.
According to Israeli media, this amount is to be given to the Houthis in exchange for stopping attacks on Saudi Arabia. Iran has become the mediator for this agreement.
Saudi Defense Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman had reached Tehran on Monday for talks in this regard.
The report claimed that money was also brought in the Hercules military aircraft in which the minister arrived.
Officials from Saudi Arabia, Pakistan and Turkey had reached Tehran on Monday. They discussed issues related to Iran war and Houthi rebels.
Saudi’s condition- first return the occupied areas
Pakistan Army Chief Field Marshal Asim Munir and Turkish Intelligence Agency Chief Ibrahim Kalin and President Masood Pazhakiya from Iran also participated in this conversation.
According to the report, Saudi Arabia says that it will not enter into any new ceasefire agreement under military pressure.
According to the report, Saudi Arabia wants the Houthis to first return the areas they have captured from the Yemeni government. This government has the support of Saudi Arabia.
Saudi Arabia’s airports and oil bases have been damaged by Houthi attacks. This has also affected the country’s economy. On the other hand, Saudi oil exports have also been affected due to the Houthi occupation of the Bab al-Mandeb Strait.

There was an agreement for financial assistance three years ago also.
According to Israeli media, one reason for the dispute between Saudi Arabia and the Houthis is the non-implementation of the agreement reached three years ago.
Under that agreement, Saudi Arabia was to provide financial assistance to pay salaries of government employees in areas under the control of Houthis and to rebuild essential basic facilities for the common people.
In return, the Houthi rebels were expected to maintain the ceasefire and stop attacks on Saudi Arabia. But recently the Houthis alleged that Saudi Arabia did not follow the old agreement. He has justified his attacks on this basis.

Why is Saudi Arabia not able to defeat the Houthis?
Saudi Arabia has modern fighter aircraft and missiles. America has also been providing him weapons and intelligence information. Despite this, it has not been able to achieve victory in the ongoing fight against Houthi rebels since 2015.
More than 10 years later, the Houthis still control large parts of Yemen and have the ability to launch drone-missile attacks on Saudi Arabia.
A major reason for this is the expenditure on attack and defence. The Houthis attack with cheap drones and missiles, while Saudi Arabia has to fire expensive interceptor missiles to stop them.
In such a situation, Saudi Arabia’s expenses in stopping the attacks of Houthis may be much higher, making it costly to continue the war for a long time.
Yemen’s mountainous area is also a big challenge for Saudi
Large parts of Yemen are mountainous. It is not easy to locate the hideouts of Houthi rebels in such areas and destroy them completely.
Air strikes can damage a base, but it does not capture the entire area.
Houthis have been active in Yemen for a long time and have a strong hold there. Saudi Arabia may have to launch a major ground campaign to remove them completely. There is a danger of soldiers getting killed and the war continuing for a long time.
