At the NDTV World Summit 2026, Sri Lanka’s Deputy Minister of Industry and Entrepreneurship Development Chaturanga Abeysinghe expressed his gratitude to India and said that India supported Sri Lanka at every step in overcoming the severe economic crisis of 2022. He said that now Sri Lanka has come out of the crisis and the country is moving towards development. He also extended an open invitation to Indian companies and investors for investment and partnership in Sri Lanka. In this summit, Chaturanga Abeysinghe said that after the economic crisis of 2022, India gave us huge financial assistance and stood with us in difficult times. I want to thank the people of India wholeheartedly. To come out of this crisis, we have learned a lot from India’s 30 years of experience.
