The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will begin the registration process for the first round of NEET PG Counselling 2026 today, October 12. Eligible candidates can register online through the official website, mcc.nic.in, until October 21, 2026.
The counselling process will cover 50% of postgraduate medical seats under the All India Quota (AIQ) and will be conducted in four rounds, including the stray vacancy round. Candidates must complete registration, fee payment, choice filling and locking within the prescribed deadlines.
NEET PG Counselling 2026: Round 1 Schedule
The registration and fee payment window for Round 1 will remain open from October 12 to 21. Candidates can fill and lock their choices between October 12 and 22. The seat allotment process is scheduled for October 22 and 23, while the results will be declared on October 24. Candidates allotted seats must report to their respective colleges between October 26 and November 2. The MCC will verify the data of candidates who have joined their allotted colleges on November 3.
NEET PG Counselling 2026: Round 2 Schedule
The seat matrix for the second round will be verified on November 6 and 7. Registration will take place from November 6 to 11, while choice filling and locking will remain open from November 7 to 12. The seat allotment process is scheduled for November 12 and 13, and the results will be announced on November 14. Candidates who receive seats must report to their allotted colleges between November 16 and 23. The verification of joined candidates’ data will take place on November 24.
NEET PG Counselling 2026: Round 3 Schedule
The seat matrix verification for Round 3 is scheduled for November 25 and 26. Registration will begin on November 26 and continue until December 1, while the choice filling and locking window will remain open from November 27 to December 2. Seat allotment will take place on December 2 and 3, and the results will be declared on December 4. Candidates must report to their allotted colleges between December 5 and 12. The verification of joined candidates’ data is scheduled for December 14.
NEET PG Counselling 2026: Stray Vacancy Round Schedule
The MCC will conduct a stray vacancy round to fill seats remaining vacant after the earlier rounds. The seat matrix will be checked on December 15, followed by registration and choice filling from December 16 to 21. The seat allotment process will take place on December 22 and 23, and the results will be announced on December 24. Candidates allotted seats in this round must report to their respective colleges between December 24 and 31.
NEET PG Counselling 2026: Registration Fee And Security Deposit
Candidates must pay a non-refundable registration fee and a refundable security deposit to participate in the counselling process. According to the provided fee details, General and EWS candidates applying for Central University seats will have to pay a registration fee of Rs 1,000, while SC, ST and OBC candidates will have to pay Rs 500. The security deposit is Rs 25,000 for General category candidates and Rs 10,000 for reserved category candidates.
For Deemed University seats, candidates across all categories must pay a registration fee of Rs 5,000. The security deposit is Rs 2 lakh and is refundable according to the applicable counselling rules.
