There was controversy in the promotional event. Recently, Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi had reached Prime Focus Studio located in Film City, Mumbai for the promotion of starrer ‘Ramayana’. The time of the program was said to be 12 noon, which was later changed to 1 pm. The media reached the venue as per the scheduled time, but there was a delay of about four and a half hours in starting the conversation. On this, many media persons left the event, while many expressed their displeasure. Federation President Arjun Kumar has demanded that this film be shown to his delegation before its release in the country and abroad this Diwali. In that film, golden Lanka was shown black and the great sage Ravana and his army were depicted like Mongol robbers. Due to this huge protest, the film, made with a budget of crores, proved to be a flop at the box office.
