Reliance Industries Executive Director Anant Ambani on Friday expressed happiness over participating in the unveiling of the foundation stone plaque for the Global Horticulture Hub and Indian School of Agriculture in Andhra Pradesh.
Speaking at the event, Anant Ambani said he was honoured to be part of the initiative and requested Chandrababu Naidu to treat him as a “son of Andhra”.
“First, I am grateful to you for inviting me to witness this historic moment as you establish India’s first hi-tech, modern, and a truly world-class School of Agriculture in Madanapalle. Second, a quarter-century ago, you brought the Indian School of Business to Hyderabad. Today, you are giving the Indian farmer his own ISB. Under honorable Shri Narendra Modi Ji’s dynamic leadership, Andhra Bhoomi is becoming Swarna Bhoomi. I would like to pause and applaud Honorable Shri Narendra Modi Ji’s visionary leadership through which, every part of India is undergoing unprecedented transformation today. Today, I assure Nirmala Ji and Naidu Garu, and through you, our Honourable Pradhan Mantri, that Young Indians like me will work with utmost dedication and commitment to realize the dream of VIKSIT BHARAT. Gandhi Jayanti par aaj hum Sankalp lete hain ki: “VIKSIT BHARAT ka sapna, hum saakar karke dikhaayenge.”
“In 1919, in this very town of Madanapalle, Gurudev Shri Rabindranath Tagore translated our national anthem from Bengali to English, as the ‘morning song’ of India. Today, Madanapalle sings a new morning song for the Indian farmer. The Indian School of Agriculture is being founded on the birth anniversaries of Shri Mahatma Gandhi and Shri Lal Bahadur Shastri. The Father of our Nation was right when he said that India lives in her villages. He gave us the Mantra of SARVODAYA and ANTYODAYA. This Mantra comes alive when agriculture becomes profitable and socially prestigious for every Kisan. Shastri Ji gave the nation the iconic slogan, “Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan” Atal Ji added ‘Jai Vigyaan’. Modi Ji added ‘Jai Anusandhan’. In this school all 4 meet under one roof: “Jai Jawan, Jai Kisan, Jai Vigyaan, Jai Anusandhan.” Chandrababu Naidu Garu understands that technology must improve farmers’ incomes. That mission is at the heart of the INDIAN SCHOOL OF AGRICULTURE,” he said.
“In this School, Artificial Intelligence will meet the Traditional Intelligence of Bharat’s hard-working Kisans. Imagine the young minds of this School developing intelligent tools that can warn farmers of a pest attack before it spreads. Drones that can map crop health and guide the precise use of water and nutrients. Robotics that can make hard work easier and reduce losses. Cloud computing can put timely advice in farmers’ hands and help achieve ‘Per Drop More Crop’. Price intelligence that tells a Madanapalle tomato farmer when and where to sell. Greenhouse Technology can power an EVERGREEN REVOLUTION: where farming thrives 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Through Reliance’s green energy businesses, I see an opportunity to help our Anna Daatas become Urja Daatas. Our kisans, who ensure India’s FOOD SECURITY, will now strengthen India’s ENERGY SECURITY too – making India self-reliant in energy. That is why Reliance Industries is grateful to the Government of Andhra Pradesh for the opportunity to invest ₹1 lakh crore in the state to set up compressed biogas (CBG) plants. These will create over 3 lakh jobs and bring nearly ₹60,000 crore in revenue to the state and help achieve VIKSHIT BHARAT,” he said.
“My mission is to help make our farmers prosperous, our energy cleaner, and our care for animals stronger. I have come here to put Reliance’s capabilities to work for this mission. My Honourable grandfather, Shri Dhirubhai Ambani dreamt of ‘a manifold increase in our agricultural output’. 25 years later, this school can help make that dream come true. Let me share four practical ways in which we will work together. First: This School must reach farmers at their doorsteps. Therefore, JIO will collaborate with the Indian School of Agriculture to bring your training modules to millions of farmers in Indian languages and in an interactive mode through VIRTUAL CLASSROOMS IN VILLAGES. Educated rural youth can become DIGITALLY ENABLED EXTENSION WORKERS, helping farmers use this knowledge,” said Ambani.
“Second: JIO has created a new platform called JIO KRISHI. JIO KRISHI has developed several innovative products to benefit farmers. In Jamnagar, we have established India’s most modern R&D Centre for Bio-Energy Development. We would regard it as DESH SEVA and KISAN SEVA to share our knowledge with you.”

“Third: I am first a Pashu Sevak and then an entrepreneur. Mere liye, ‘PASHU SEVA hi ‘PRABHU SEVA’ hai. Our Kisans understand the value of PASHU SEVA and Bharat’s precious PASHU DHAN. I believe that hi-tech Animal Husbandry, along with our traditional love and care for animals, can create an enormous amount of new wealth and employment in our villages. At Vantara in Jamnagar, we have laid the foundation for the World’s First Global University for Wildlife and Veterinary Sciences. We would be happy to establish a close relationship between your School and our University.”
“Fourth: This School can help make agriculture a profession that young Indians can choose with pride. Too many young people leave farming because incomes are uncertain and opportunities seem limited. Let us give them the skills, technology and enterprise to build successful futures in THEIR OWN VILLAGES.”

“Today I request you to “Treat me as a son of Andhra and direct me as to what I can contribute to your beautiful state. Today, we are not just laying foundation stones. We are laying the foundations for – rural enterprise, stronger villages, a more sustainable India, and most importantly, for improving lives of our farmers. For Andhra Pradesh, we will work together. Swarna-Andhranu Nirmiddam! (Let us build Swarna Andhra).”
