Flydubai Flight Incident Live News Updates: A Flydubai flight from Dubai to Tel Aviv suffered a crash scare on Wednesday after a violent clash between two pilots inside the cockpit. The security incident forced the flight to make an emergency landing in Saudi Arabia. As the brawl boke out, one of the pilots allegedly attempted to take control of the aircraft.
Flight FZ1703, which took off from Dubai at 0305 GMT, reportedly suffered a sudden loss of altitude more than two hours into the journey. The aircraft later transmitted emergency signals, including a code associated with a hijacking, prompting Israel to scramble fighter jets amid initial fears of an attempted takeover.
Meanwhile, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu alleged that one pilot stabbed the other and attempted to crash the plane. Passengers reportedly entered the cockpit and overpowered the pilot, while another crew member took control of the aircraft.
The plane eventually landed safely in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, at 0645 GMT. Both pilots were injured and taken to hospital, while passengers were later transferred to another aircraft bound for Tel Aviv.
