Asian Games 2026 India September 25 LIVE: India will have several medal opportunities lined up in shooting, athletics, canoe sprint, equestrian and weightlifting today. The day gets underway with Sugar Shanti Gayen and Kamali Prakash taking part in the women’s shortboard round 1 heats followed by the Indian dressage team competing in its final while shooters Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar, Rudrankksh Balasaheb Patil and Niraj Kumar will feature in the men’s 50m rifle 3 positions event. Later in the day, Seram Nirupama Devi will compete in the women’s 61kg weightlifting final from 1:30 PM.
On the athletics track, Gurindervir Singh and Animesh Kujur will contest the men’s 100m semifinals, while Gulveer Singh will compete in the 10,000m final. The Indian men’s and women’s kabaddi teams will take on Thailand and Nepal respectively in the semifinals.
The hockey team will face Japan, while squash quarterfinals will feature Anahat Singh, Tanvi Khanna, Abhay Singh and Veer Chotrani. Indian badminton, table tennis, boxing, fencing, surfing, swimming and esports athletes will also be in action.
