Former scientists believe that companies will soon create such AI systems which will be ahead of humans in every aspect and a time will come when humans will lose complete control over them.
Bilal Chughtai, a former Google DeepMind scientist, has warned that AI could wipe out the entire human race. He also said that there is very little time left to stop this. After resigning, he has warned the world about this hidden danger of AI.
Earlier, Anthropic researcher Jacob Coxon had also resigned. Regarding the danger of AI, he had said on social media platform

Two big threats to humans from AI…
- Fear of losing control: Till now, whatever orders we give to the machines, they work accordingly. But in the coming time, such machines will be created which will be smarter and more intelligent than the human brain. It is called AGI. When machines become more intelligent than humans, they may stop obeying our orders.
- Autonomous Weapons: These will be such digital weapons or drones that will not require any human being to operate them. These machines will decide for themselves whether to attack or kill.
Bilal said – less time to avert danger
Bilal Chughtai was part of the team at Google DeepMind, whose job was to see that AI works only for the benefit of humans and does not cause harm. He said, “While working at Google, I have seen AI being created and changed very closely.
It’s scary the path this technology is going. AI could wipe out the human race and there is very little time to avert this threat.”
Bilal believes that companies will soon create AI more intelligent than humans. There will come a time when humans will lose complete control over them.
AI went from simple to straight up hacking in 4 years
On the pace of change in AI, Bilal said that when he started work in 2022, AI systems were very modest. But the atmosphere has completely changed in the last 4 years.
Recently, AI manufacturing company ‘OpenAI’ claimed that their AI system has solved a very difficult 90 year old problem of mathematics (Navier-Stokes Problem).
At the same time, another scary incident came when without any human being’s permission, around 700 AI agents of OpenAI tried to hack the system of a company named ‘Hugging Face’.
Demand to stop competition of AI companies
Bilal says that it is still possible to develop AI safely, but for this all the companies will have to coordinate.
He said, “This crazy race going on between companies has to be stopped. We have to bring the pace of development of AI to a level that our society can handle, so that it can be solved before any major threat.”
Anthropic CEO also demands to slow down the pace
Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei has also advised in an article to slow down the pace of creating AI. He says that this will provide time to understand and deal with the threats related to AI. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman and Elon Musk have also supported this.
Trump said – China will move ahead if rules are made
On one hand, scientists and heads of AI companies are demanding rules and strictness, on the other hand, US President Donald Trump has a different stance. Trump has rejected the idea of strict regulations on AI. His argument is that if restrictions are imposed on American companies, China will move ahead in this race. Trump said, “Whoever wins the AI race will rule the world.”
