The plane landed at Delhi airport at around 2.15 pm.
An Alliance Air plane made an emergency landing at Delhi Airport due to engine failure. There were 40 passengers and 4 crew members on board the plane.
The plane was coming from Prayagraj to Delhi. Airport sources said the plane made an emergency landing because one of its engines was not working. The plane landed at Delhi airport at around 2.15 pm.
The plane flies on Bilaspur-Prayagraj-Delhi route.
Asked for emergency landing before reaching Delhi
Alliance Air spokesperson said that this twin-engine turboprop aircraft operating on Bilaspur-Prayagraj-Delhi route was ATR 72-600.
While reaching Delhi, the pilot sought permission for emergency landing due to low oil pressure in the left engine.
However, the flight crew did not declare any emergency. After this the plane landed safely at Delhi airport.
Yesterday, Indigo flight had emergency landing in Ahmedabad.
On Thursday, an Indigo flight going from Lucknow to Dammam, Saudi Arabia received a bomb threat. After this, emergency landing of the plane was done at Ahmedabad airport.
